OK, so here's how it all started...
I was Sigma Kappa stoopin' (GRae term) in Bucktown when one of my sorority sisters mentioned something about being gluten free. I'll be honest, I didn't know much about gluten except for a vague recollection that it may be something in bread. Upon hearing that IBS symptoms AND migraines disappeared completely, I was sold. Disclaimer(s): 1) There may be portions of this blog that qualify to some as TMI but I consider it honest poop humor....when you've dealt with it as long as I have, you feel entitled. 2) Nicknames have been coined to protect the innocent, or the guilty, depending on how you look at it =)
When I got back to good ol' Lisle (read: Liz-L) and with the help of some research provided by GRae, I embarked on a gluten free journey and never looked back. Well, only occasionally in the past several days when I question what part of me was actually willing to give up bagels for the rest of my life (for those who don't know me well--it is my go to, almost daily, breakfast weakness. I could spot the Thomas logo anywhere).
So, herein lies the new adventures of this gluten free gal. Buckle up, it's going to be one heck of a read...I mean ride.
